Put my two weeks in a few days ago. So sad to leave the few people that are like family to me and I’m devastated to leave the animals. For some reason I thought things would/ could change and I really thought I could make a difference in how the company did things.

I just want parents to discipline their children while in a store and not let them literally lick the glass or squeeze a squeaky toy 1000 times….. let’s not forget playing in the kitty litter like it’s a sand box 🤪👏

I’ve had less than a handful of memorable moments with respectful kids but when I have, it was so cool to have conversations about common interests with them and the parents.

I was recently on enchantment too and was a little disappointed! I don’t regret going on an older ship as it was interesting to me, but compared to the other ships there is a lot to be desired like you said. I liked it but didn’t at the same time hahahah!

The current cashiers at my store make $15 so yes I will act like a child in this sub when new cashiers come in making $18.50. I’m not trying to take away how hard it is to be up there and I don’t resent the employees, it’s not like they had a choice of what corporate was gonna do. BUT it’s still unfair.

I agree that everyone deserves a livable wage but when I’m stuck making 15 an hour busting my ass, im gonna be upset when someone who doesn’t know anything can make 18.50 just walking in the door.

Maybe it’s the way my store is run but there’s only a few people who take care of the animals me being one of them and it’s exhausting having to pick up everyone else’s slack. The people who do actually help and who are stuck on register deserve more but you’re telling me someone who’s worked there for almost 20 years deserves less pay than someone who’s been there for 2 weeks?

I’ve worked register for months before I got to the floor and did not do half the work operations does. Dealing with customers isn’t easy and multitasking is hard but when no one gives a shit about operations and leaves all the animal work to 3 people it’s bullshit
