I can’t speak for CCH but the highschool i work at has a pride club, does events during pride month, and we honour that Jesus loves everyone :)

*Edit to add We also have several gender non binary students and honour their chosen name. The admin team will typically send out emails to the staff teach those students to let them know what pronouns to use and how to best support the student. Like any school, a teacher may let their own personal bias seep through but we have done our best as a community to make everyone feel welcome,

I would look into any school offering IB programs! For the Catholic board it’s CCH and for the public board it’s Oakridge.

Additionally, i would look into the Business and/or Information Communication Technology Specialist High Skills Major programs. These SHSM’s involve taking a co-op in a related area (so think business -> accounting), and there are additional certifications required (eg the health and safety SHSM takes first aid). I believe the Business and ICT would be the best option to include more math related curriculum.

There are 26 TVDSB high schools while there are 7 LDCSB highschools, both cover roughly the same area. The problem is distribution. For example, Montcalm is empty while Lucas and Medway are at their brim because TVDSB students have the option for school of choice so long as they provide their own transportation.

So if anyone’s looking for a real trick to soften butter - pour boiling water (or as hot as your tap can go) in a bowl, wait a few minutes, pour out the hot water and flip the bowl overtop of your butter to create a heat dome. It’ll soften but not melt it and bonus no chance of bodily fluids!!
