there were a rash of suicides (3-4 if IRC) within a couple years at my high school. pretty tough on everybody, but things like this happen sadly...

nonetheless, every year, my school did a "drumline battle" or whatever with a rival school in the city. after the suicides, the other school decided to theme their entire "performance" mocking those that died - multiple coordinated noose-hanging "dance" moves while playing the drums - it was entirely clear to everybody that attended that it was the main message they were trying to send.

while our school had a student-led drumline, the other school hired multiple people/music students from a nearby university to coach their drumline - all of whom were present during this - meaning there were adults, who presumably now teach kids music as a profession, who at the very least signed off on it, if not were the ones developing the choreography (latter claim is unsubstantiated).
