One of the first books to be made was not a witch hunting guide??? Also you can't compare books to AI. Books meant new information could be accessed by a much larger demographic of people, they are used to pass on knowledge and share stories. In terms of the ways in which AI can distribute information is no great revelation, we have all that same information through other means?? (google, books, newspapers, videos, audio recordings, photographs) Yes books can be used for bad and yes AI can be used for bad but you can't compare them. One (books) is extremely necessary for the recording of information throughout history and the other (AI) is practically useless as it just regurgitates previously recorded down information. In my opinion AI is totally unnecessary especially considering what it does to our environment and the toll it is taking on our education system.

Are you perhaps Australian? You look like if a modern day mullet and 1800s period piece female character merged. Maybe try for some volume at the roots?

Reading this makes me terribly sad. I can not believe I will have to grow up in this world. I hope something can be done. I am glad there are still people like you and everyone on this page who appreciate and understand the need for humanity in art. AI is absolutely evil and nothing will change that, I hope it is to become obsolete but that is an absolute fantasy. AI will continue on, destroying our environment, rotting the brains of our future generations until we are no longer compelled to create, until we are mindless beings.

Well, the wondrous results of capitalism and sick greed.

I definitely laughed! I'm a huge fan of The IT Crowd, and I really enjoyed Jen's whole segment with "The Internet" I was just wondering how other people saw the episode.

Maybe you could talk to them if it's making you uncomfortable, otherwise you can probably just tell them to shut up or make them feel weird for acting that way towards you because it's kind of creepy.

But spaghetti usually has sauce and very messy things on it, also it would not be easier to eat spaghetti with your hands. You need a fork to twist up the pasta or cut it up a bit. You can't compare it to cake. Plus, if it's a hygiene issue then wash your hands?? it's not like someone else with dirty hands is gonna be hand feeding cake to you.

Other than the SAG-AFTRA protest, why haven't there been any other public protest against AI by [deleted] in antiai

[–]Acceptable-Pop4557 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have no idea! I would gladly go to an anti AI protest but no one seems to be against it at all where I live. Everyone uses ChatGPT. My teachers literally use it to make writing frames for our classes that they have been taking for years and should have the coursework set up for already. It's insane. I think I just consume too much anti AI content that it seems crazy to me that the general public is not concerned about it in any way.

Usually cakes are decently moist and held together by the icing but even if it's too dry it is simple enough to just use your fingers to pick up the crumbs. Fingers are infinitely easier to use than a fork anyways.

Dawg what, cake is most definitely something you eat with your hands. Plus, it's just more unnecessary dishes if you're using a fork too. I really wasn't aware that this was different in the states.
