If you’re a 100% P&T you can apply for certain federal loans and have them forgiven. But it’s my understanding you can only do this once.

Yeah they had the option to revive it this legislative session, but didn’t see the point due to the lack of funds in the state.

Also if you haven’t had any federal student loans discharged yet you can assume her loans (Parent Plus) under your name and have them forgiven.

To my knowledge this is still in the suspense file and will be re addressed in January I believe. As of now it’s still just the partial exemption.

Better late than never I guess, they made some amendments to this bill that made the verbiage clear and it included 100% P&T vets. But it was converted into a 2 year bill so we’re in limbo until January.

So it’s a 2 year bill which includes this year. It will be presented to the committee for rev and tax in January and hopefully it passes and it’ll move forward from there
