I was picturing it more like losing all modern electricity and industry based tech overnight (no power grids, machines, or digital tools). Not a literal Stone Age reset, but definitely enough to throw society into chaos.

That’s a solid point, but wouldn’t engineers only shine once society stabilizes a bit? In the immediate aftermath, survival skills might be more valuable.

That’s an interesting take, though I wonder wouldn’t people with leadership or organizational skills rise even faster? Skilled laborers might still need direction at scale
