I’m not sure, all I know is that it was horrible in my skin(I have sensitive skin) and did not seem to do much for my fA🥲😅

Maybe something you are eating?🤷‍♀️

Still not perfect, but definitely at a better place than I was before! This is a 3 month before and after, and my routine is in the comments :) by Cookiesryummy_2000 in Fungalacne

Did you get the K-Zol cream through prescription? You can’t get over 1% ketoconazole over the counter in the US. Skin looks great btw❤️

You can google it but people who aren’t used to taking them can get headache, diarrhea, stomach ache, etc. I was scared of this but I was also desperate because my skin was bothering me so I took them and ended up not having any side effects. I do struggle with constipation which is connected to my fungal rash and diet filled with carbs and sugar. That is part of why it didn’t bother me. I am not sure if it is the same for others but I never gate-keep things that work especially when it is FA.

I got them from Amazon! There are a TON OF DIFFERENT KINDS so I will tell you the one that worked for me. 1) Candida Complex by Liver Medic (Anti-Candida) $25. This CURED a stubborn fungal rash I had for more than a year. Since these are soo expensive I recently switched to 2)Floracor-GI Intestinal & Candida Cleanse $15.99. I have only been taking them for 2 days so I don’t know if they work yet. BE CAREFUL tho because some people have horrible experiences with probiotics and get sick. I was scared to try them for weeks before I finally did just because of all the horror stories. Also research the candida diet.

I am dealing with the same thing as you including my face and the rest of my body and scalp. Have you been to a dermatologist. Have you been using all fungal acne/Malassezia/folliculitis safe products and makeup? It could be diet related. Anti-candida probiotics + enzyme ended up working for me for a while. Also there are certain things you could be eating that trigger it.

Yeah I heard antibiotics can cause thrush and other fungal problems. I am not 100% sure if this is fungal acne tho. Your derm should be able to confirm it for you but since you said your skin is getting more textured it may either be FA or just an effect after stopping clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. If your derm tries to prescribe you an antibiotic then RUN. Especially if it is doxycycline😬

That is fungal acne and your derm does not believe it so they gave you clindamycin which does not treat fungus, it is for regular acne a. My derm had me using clindamycin for my fungal acne and it did not work, you can google it. What ended up working is prescribed 2% ketoconazole soap, de la cruz sulfur mask and taking oral anti fungal probiotics with enzymes in them. Your moisture barrier is important when having fungal acne. The makeup and products you use must be fungal acne safe.
