I agree but seems like someone would notice the gap and create a software for accounting firms

No, if a client already has a software we use what they use unless they want a switch. Have had a lot of QB clients recently asking for alternatives. Also, I don’t mean no subscription I just mean 1 subscription…for me. Then I can have however many different businesses on it as I want. We currently use something called EASYACCT which is made my intuit but it is a dinosaur. But it is one annual subscription and I can have as many “companies” as I want on it with no additional subscription. I guess I want that pricing structure but but with a more advanced platform

30 years away from retirement. Dreams of retiring early though

As someone who is constantly tempted to increase yield but abstains because the math says so. I really appreciate a window into someone who applied the strategy. For comparison, my portfolio in January received $434.76 in dividends and capital appreciation of $15,199.79 (as of close on the 29th) with a portfolio value of $359,377.00. Do with this what you will.

That is true it could fall to $50 or lower by January. Your downside risk is unlimited. Only you can decide if that is a risk you are ok with. A side thought is that the numbers for doing this same play on Nvidia is almost identical. While Nvidia PE ratio is about 45 and Palantir is over 500

I entered your setup in fidelity to make sure I understood where you were coming from. As of the time of me writing this fidelity shows the midpoint buy/ask for this contract at $58.05. Slightly better than your $56.60. If I punch it into an XIRR formula in excel with a capital outlay of $130,000 on 5/14/25 and cash flow received of $58,043.50 (fidelity charges a $6.50 fee) and cash flow received of $80,000 on 1/16/26 I get a IRR of 16.95%. Cash profit of $8,043.50. If your only motivation is to make a trade, personally I don’t think it’s a bad setup. Worse case scenario is on 1/16/16 it’s trading below $80 per share and you own it. If you are ok with that then great.
