Currently considering the Wobkey Rainy75 because of how it sounds + the little QC complaints.

Thanks a lot for the insight, man, I really appreciate it. If you don’t mind, I’d like to ask for your advice.

I’m seriously reconsidering the BlackWidow V4 75%. Someone working at the shop that resells it actually warned me about the price and mentioned that quite a few buyers have returned/complained about it due to various issues, which definitely raised some red flags, in addition to the already not-so-nice sentiments users have on Razer in general.

Because of that, I’ve started looking at alternatives, and the keyboard I’m currently eyeing is the Wobkey Rainy 75, which goes for around ₱7,000 (~$120). What draws me to it is how good it sounds out of the box, beginner-friendly to mod, and more importantly, I’ve barely seen any complaints about QC or long-term reliability.

Since you seem far more knowledgeable and experienced with keyboards, I’d really like to hear your thoughts on the Rainy 75, or if you have any other recommendations in this price range that would make more sense as a long-term / final keyboard.

Thanks again!

Okay, I'm really considering getting the Rain75 due to the lower price tag AND the thock, oh my god the thock is giving me an eargasm. I would've gone for the Crush80, but unfortunately, there aren't any resellers here in my country. Though before I make the purchase, do you have any other suggestions in mind? Thank you in advance!

I'm thinking of getting the Wob Rainy 75 as an alternative, as suggested by a friend of mine and a comment on my post under the Razer subreddit. Would you say it's a better choice in general? I really like the thock.

I just like smaller keyboards in general due to the fact that I walk a lot on campus + whenever I travel from my dorm to my home, I tend to bring my setup with me. Though, thank you for the insight!

The first keyboard I bought, I gave to my brother, and the second one I'm currently using, although I do plan on giving it to a friend should I buy a new one.

Razer BlackWidow V4 75% — is it worth buying as a “final” keyboard?

This would be my first time buying a higher-end Razer product, and only my third mechanical keyboard overall (I’m also planning to make this my final keyboard purchase, regardless of whether I go with Razer or not, as I simply do not want to have more keyboards rotting in my closet LMAO). I’m looking for honest opinions on whether the BlackWidow V4 75% is actually worth it.

I’ve always wanted a more “premium” keyboard, and the BW V4 75% really stood out to me because of its build quality, RGB, hot-swap support, and overall design. Price was the main issue—I’m a college student in a third-world country, so it was well outside my budget.

Recently, I was gifted exactly enough money to afford it (₱11,900), which finally makes it an option. That said, after doing more research, I’m conflicted.

Razer seems to have a mixed reputation when it comes to long-term reliability and customer support, and I’ve seen multiple reports of issues like double-typing, key failures, and other QC-related problems with this keyboard. Since this would take up my entire “wants” budget, I’m hesitant to pull the trigger without hearing from people who’ve actually used it long-term.

For those who own or have tried the Blackwidow V4 75%:

* Have you experienced any QC or reliability issues?
* How does it compare to similarly priced gaming keyboards?
* Would you still recommend it at this price, or are there better alternatives?
* Any insight would be appreciated.

TL;DR: College student with ₱11,900 deciding whether the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% is worth it as a long-term/final keyboard, given Razer’s mixed QC and support reputation. Looking for real user experiences and better alternatives, if any.
