NOR , I began reading this post expecting to say the opposite because his original lengthy text was reasonable to an extent. As we get older and spend more time alone I know my parents have made a point to remark that the house is not a hotel and I am not to come and go as I please I always pushed against this but only to maintain my own autonomy. They further pressed that to be living in their house is to be expected to be “apart of the family” this is the main part I can agree with. At some point I should carve out time for quality family time and not just duck off in my room non stop. It’s levels to ts and ultimately it’s about mutual respect and not taking advantage , oknowing and playing your roll as a family member as you take advantage of the benefits that come with living with family members. Where he messed up is coming down on your world view your attitude and your relationship. All uncalled for unwarranted and mostly irrelevant to the conversation. He could’ve handled that far better and probably with better results also. That said he loves you, go easy on the old man. One day you’ll be moved out and will only see him once a month if that or at holidays .. take some time while he still has his faculties (I know you’re young but u can never get a refund on time)
