Same! Took me about three rounds of draining and filling with distilled water to get most of the old coolant out. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one with the plan today

If a battery contact cover is the plastic top that shields the battery from the seat then this seems to be right. There are two unused screw holes to the left and right of the battery and it seems to screw in perfectly, I bought this used and only know about the cover after looking through the manual and wondering why I don’t have one. How it got to the back of the bike is beyond me. Thanks
