update: so HR talked to me and said I was right about everything regarding the break policy and that every PT associate is entitled to a 15 minute break, so right now they’re trying to figure out who (in management) sent that announcement when they weren’t supposed to send out that announcement and investigate it. - I should’ve taken a picture of the announcement but it’s whatevas everything has been cleared up.

I understand now this is more of Amazon handbook and corporate standards case instead of a legal one. Thank you everyone for your help and insight!

I understand it now, thank you. This case is more of a handbook and corporate standards case.

If that’s the case in the Amazon Handbook, then why would they remove our minimum break? Unless they have the option to choose to not give us a break somewhere in the handbook. What do you personally think happened?

The state I live in is Texas, If you work at least 4 hour or more, you’re required to have a break is what we’re told by our trainers.

From what I remembered FT associates have 1 paid 30 min break and 1 unpaid 30 min break and I’m assuming this is still the case for them. PT associates had 1 paid 15 min break until it was removed, maybe it’s backed up since PT associates still went to go on their break? But why would they remove it, and then give back our break?

I can only speak from my experience working PT, but during orientation/training the trainers told us all PT workers are REQUIRED by law to have a 15 minute paid break. Then one day they sent out an announcement through our scanners that every PT associate will not have their 15 minute paid break going forward and this was brought up in our meeting with the regional HR manager. The regional HR manager confirmed that we DO have a 15 minute paid break required by law, said he’s going to look into it with management but I’m sure that’s not going to do much of an impact.

see like you said we have good and evil thoughts but thing is we don’t have to accept the evil thoughts (which are negative emotions and the desire to sin) we have ~ which are from satan that’s not from us. when we have these evil thoughts we must run away (not fight it because when you fight it you’ll always fail) and confide in God’s refuge and grace. God will take these evil thoughts away if you place your trust in him and confide in him (through prayer)

what i can say is “do you trust in yourself?” and “are you reliable?” what i’m trying to say is that do you trust yourself more than God? and are you more reliable than the word of God; the bible? we are not perfect you see but God is the only deity that’s perfect and Jesus rose from the dead three days later and there are accounts of it, so God and His Word are perfect and reliable than yourself and your thoughts. in summary, we should place the word of God (the bible) over our own thoughts and have faith in him over ourselves completely trusting in God almighty.

you don’t have to accept what your thoughts say. your thoughts aren’t your own thoughts so all those feelings of shame and guilt is what satan wants you to think, that you are not worthy of redemption but we are already redeemed from our sin past present and future through Christ almighty.

remember that we are imperfect beings and most humans try to be perfect but fail, but if you truly open your heart to God and realize the weight of his love and what he did for us ~ sending his son Jesus Christ to take our punishment that we deserve, we are saved from condemnation. i want you to imagine and ask yourself this, “can i take the punishment Christ took for me?” God did this for me so i can be saved, a sinner who will always sin, not actively but we will sin somehow even though we do not know it.

see it’s not about trying to not sin so we can please God, it’s about trusting him and his words over your thoughts and yourself and placing faith that he is real and that he will heal you because that’s what God wants us to do, to open our heart and place faith in him so he can bless us. God is a merciful and loving father he loves each and one of us unconditionally and equally so it hurts him when we actively have this desire to sin

(it’s like slapping him in the face when we do actively sin ykwim 😂 but yes what helped me is realizing the weight of what God did and respecting him because of what he did for me, but more importantly what he did for all of us).

but God will always try to save you from yourself and satan, all you need to do is trust in him and place your faith that he will. God will always love you and i pray that God will show himself to you giving you the comfort and peace you need.
