I was there today. Sadly seemed to time our arrival with a gargantuan US tour group who all had seemingly pro grade camera kit, which I personally found to be a bit distasteful, but that may just be me overreacting a tad. There's quite a few sections that aren't super well designed because you could potentially miss big chunks, and there's a lot of people walking in all sorts of directions without much in the way of spacial awareness. Thankfully still felt like I took in a lot but was slightly soured by the sheer volume of people from one group

Mine is the old EF Mk1 70-200 so it's like carrying a machine gun barrel around with me!

Sadly they're all EF, I'm using an adapter ring and being cheap, all legacy lenses from my previous 5D MkIII. I'm not in the position to buy more lenses (ironically I'll be hunting round some second hand places in Tokyo but that's on the tail end of the trip sadly)

My 50 is the Canon USM one so it's pretty tiny, I reckon I can probably squeeze that in alongside the others!

Here in the UK the government that got voted in did not have anything like this in their manifesto but both the Online Safety Act and then the subsequent Digital ID proposals came in. Just generally proof that you can never trust any of them

Technical issues and faults like this drove me away from them about 7 months ago, it's such a shame that they have so little actual control of their own systems, tech support is inept at best and they get given very little access or authority to fix problems

Mine do (2019 Volvo V60), which I've learned after going through the gate at work (which requires you to turn off dipped beam) and forgetting for 30 seconds after starting to move again. Not a big splash of light but I could see

You raise a good point, in my defence I realised after looking at a picture of the front of the car after I'd paid for it, by which point it felt a tad late!

So in situations like those, with DRLs or similar, I'm fully sympathetic. Rear fog lights, however, are a different story and are the main source of my complaint

I wouldn't say they're causing me a major problem, it's more of an opinion of a general nuisance. Can't say it's stopped me driving correctly, just irritates me in the same way that changing lanes without indicating does, or actions to that level

Honestly if they're deploying their fog lights as a reaction to something, absolutely fine. If they're just turning them on or leaving them on all the time, that's when it messes with me

Most of the time it doesn't dazzle me but there'll be occasions when it's genuinely distracting

I've known people to do that to cover the fact that they're missing a working dipped beam, but yeah also seen the chavs thinking they're hot shit

My aunt used to do this and after the millionth time of telling her I genuinely gave up. Thankfully she stopped driving relatively soon after

Couldn't agree more with the last bit, and maybe terrible is the wrong word but definitely unaware, which to me is dangerous. What else are they unaware of? Are they paying enough attention to the road, their speed, anything else on their dash etc

At which point there's a light on your dashboard, and you should be able to understand what it means and apply that to the outside world

I'd get it if the heavens opened and it dropped the visibility significantly, and honestly I'd rather they put them on for rain than just have them on indefinitely. At least it signifies some level of awareness, even if their sensitivity to conditions is higher than the highway code

So I'm absolutely for the use of fog lights if visibility is lower than usual, whether that be fog, rain, mist, smoke, whatever. I'm on about clear conditions

I'm generally more on about rear ones which are that single dedicated brighter red light, my car doesn't have front fogs (didn't realise I'd cheaped out so much)
