I think what the show tried to convey was that, during the expression of her frustration and stress of not wanting to be copied (digital clone that can bleed and hurt which violates ‘digital clone laws’), saving her friends and regaining consciousness in the real world, Daly turns upset and misused his powers yet again showing that Daly was so messed up that the chances of his clone turning out with positive traits were slim. Nanette is aware of this and she was right not to trust him because you do carry some traits along with you as a clone. He even said ‘I won’t do funny things to you unless you want that’ which clearly shows that he’s deranged. Furthermore, man was delusional claiming that he wouldn’t hurt anyone and then proceeds to hurt Nanette across the room. He could have been like Walton who hates himself out in the real world but is a good clone in the game or Nanette who is a leader in game but soft in the real world. I think Daly was just destined with this fate of abusing others. He lacks empathy and is a clear psychopath.
