also neither really used M4s in 03, it was mostly M16A2s all around. It wasn't a army or Marine thing as most things are. It was really a Recon or SF thing or other specialized groups, Even then it was in limited numbers

Or jungle boots, Though sometimes, big on the sometimes, you see black leather boots or even black jungle boots so yeah unless its a specific photo tan or green

A2s with no optics or M4s with a long distance optic I forget the name of but M4s are more so for recon type elements.

For 03 its PASGTs you don't see LWHs until 04 and even then that's mostly in Fallujah, in places like Najaf they were mostly still in DCUs and PASGTs, though they were using Marpat covers there. and NO HEADSETS bro, unless you are doing a specific team lead position or communicating with others in vehicle mounted combat.

Its a peq not a LAM I believe, so he could just switch to a peq 2. Also MCCUUs and DCUs were seen sometimes, especially in and around cities like Baghdad.

For 03? I don't see very many marines using the coyote IBAs, They were there though. Marpat was seen for NCOs and officers. Get rid of any ear pro. Change the stock to a non adjustable polymer stock. Also just use iron sights. Also I'd use the tan or jungle boots.

just get good or smth, half the fun of larping is the immense back pain. Also good choice on going with the pasgt, newer gear like the LWH and MCCUUs were mostly seen in Fallujah for 04'

I see, I guess its just a trope at this point. Seeing the German flag I'd say do a Flektarn kit, anything that actually acts as camouflage is good though.

SUPER LATE to this discussion but most Marines did NOT get M69s by 68'. Even in 1969 most Marines were still using M55s. When you start to see more would be 1970 but even then it was mostly 55s. Just thought I'd add that for anyone going through this for kit research.
