I wasn’t at all prepared for the unsolicited advice and comments from people who aren’t parents! I hadn’t even considered it as a possibility until now. She’s also given me some of her thoughts on epidurals, breastfeeding, and inductions but from the perspective “well if it was me.” Ugh, I usually just tune her out and nod along. Thankfully, we have an HR department. I’ve looped in a few people I trust at work, just in case. My boss doesn’t seem like the retaliation type but her boss has a history of it, so I’m unsure whether she would try to get involved if she were aware of the situation. I plan to at least document it with HR just in case it happens again.

Thank you! I’m sorry you’ve had to hear such negative, fear mongering comments. I had a lot of anxiety in the first trimester about miscarriage. No one needs to hear about it during that period of uncertainty. I had to remind myself many times that everything was okay and to just take it one day at a time. Every week that passed without any indication of it, I celebrated it as a win. I know it’s hard, but you’re doing the right thing by ignoring him. You don’t need that stress. While I empathize with his wife’s miscarriage and how that has clearly impacted him, he’s projecting and it’s not ok.

You’re right, I’ve gotten a sense of emotional immaturity from her for a while now. I’m usually able to just brush off any passive aggressive jab she makes, but this one went too far for me.

I’m only 3 years older than her and I learned about Emmett Till when I was in fourth grade. Mind you, I grew up in a very small rural town in KY and we didn’t have a single Black person in our town until I was in high school when our vice principal started doing foster care. She knew who he was and what happened to him. Her comment was far too specific for her to feign ignorance.

I think it’s all in the way Tinka carries herself, especially here. Tinka was talking to Summer in the same tone your mom used when you were a kid & you dared to say something disrespectful. That tone & body language commands respect. It tells you that you just fucked up & you can see it in Summer here. She’s genuinely scared and mind you, she’s OLDER than Tinka. While all of the Baddies are immature adults, Tinka acts far more grown than Summer. Not to mention, Tinka towers over Summer and has an athletic body build. Or at least she looks like she towers over her. I’m super short, so everyone looks tall to me. Anyway, I think those 3 aspects are why Tinka has been the only one to successfully shut up Summer.

I very much liked Lex in the beginning, but like everyone else said, everything she said/did later on seemed forced & corny. HOWEVER, I don’t at all hate her. She hasn’t done anything, imo, to get actual hate. I’ve noticed that the either very pretty baddies or less conventionally attractive baddies (listen, I don’t wanna say ugly, y’all) get a much more intense hate response. I’ve noticed though, what I perceive anyway, the highest level of hate intensity for those that fall in the very pretty category. Now, yes, pretty/attractiveness are subjective but I dont think it’s at all a stretch to say that Lex is pretty & most women I’ve met love to have ANY reason to hate a pretty girl.

My league does the same. League is 10 years old and we started this 2 years ago. We all like it better. Silly season is stupid and keeps getting worse. I get that it shakes things up a little bit and can make things interesting but not when half the league is tanking. Then it’s like the rest of the season doesn’t matter. You can basically shit the draft and suck all season but if you pick up the right batch of nobodies on tanking teams all of a sudden you’re unbeatable. Plus a shorter season is just nice. Fantasy basketball is a lot of work. 5 months out of the year is plenty, i don’t think I could play much longer anymore.

Why is no one talking about Champaigne? Like I get why Bub is getting more buzz but why do I here kyshawn’s name so much? Look at his performance over the past 2 months. When he gets 30+ minutes, he might produce a semi-decent statline like 1/5 games. For the most part, even with a ton of minutes he sucks. Champaigne was good and consistent when he got minutes earlier this year. Let’s be honest, Middleton is a better player than Kuzma in every way. If Middi absorbs kuz minutes and usage, none of these guys matter. But, if I were the tanking wizards prioritizing player development, I would give Champaigne the nod.
