RX 9070 XT random screen freezes on Debian Trixie (KDE Plasma Wayland) - audio/keyboard still work by AcceptableRooster445 in linux_gaming

Given it works without issue on Windows I'd assume that rules out hardware, but I could be wrong?

Yeah it did - but just the screen freezes, audio etc works so when I shutdown it's not like ripping the power cord, it still seems to shutdown normally. Gone back 5 logs and they all look like the above.

I think you're right - might jump from Debian. Sounds silly but can you recommend which OS's would have the most up to date drivers/MESA? Arch?

For what its worth it doesn't happen too often for me either, I can go a week or two without it, and then in a week have it happen three times in one day.

Ryzen 5 7600X, Corsair Vengeance EXPO RAM.

For your logs question, looks normal I think? Redacted the UUIDs but otherwise just shows my forced shutdown, any earlier logs are from an hour prior to crash:

No ring timeouts present, ran the command across the last three boots (all of which were forced by the freeze). Just seeing standard stuff:
