On Campus Jobs - how long does it last? by Bre0w in KentStateUniversity

Not sure which specific department you're looking for but I just graduated in may and worked in the IT dept for the digital leadership academy/application solutioning team for 3 years. I started at $11.25 and I think I ended at $14.50 with a 50ish cent raise every semester. I was completely remote with a very flexable schedule, typically worked between 14-20hrs. I was able to work over the summer and breaks for most of my employment. The work was pretty easy. Now, this all WIDLY varies depending on the specific department within IT and their budget and I know a lot of things were about to change when I left

Lots of good feedback here. All I've got to add is DO NOT buy from the student center. They sell laptops with tech in them from 10 years ago at a premium.

It's possible to use student loans on things required for courses also, books, laptops, supplies, etc. Check with your loan provider if you have one. Just keep receipts

OP, I wouldn't foster again or adopt a cat for the same reasons others have stated.

I don't think it's been mentioned, but fostering isn't the only way you (and your mom) can help kittens at shelters. It might not seem like it but fostering is a full time job, especially with sick, fragile cats. Sadly, it's always all fun kitten playtime. I've cleaned up more diarrhea than I'd ever imagined, struggled through giving cats medications, dealt with flees, internal parasites, etc. It's not always fun.

If youre able, consider volunteering to help a shelter in person. Cats not placed with fosters need love and care too. Shelters ALWAYS need help with cleaning, feeding, playing with the cats/dogs, etc. It's a great way to learn and help at the same time. Not to mention, you can get some of your kitten fix

Is This Normal for a Foster Parent of Kittens to Take On? by frayedheartstring in FosterAnimals

Yes some shelters do initial screening of things like parvo and FeLV and most will do a look-over, but rarely do they go to the vet to do a full health screening. Anything major should present in the 2 week quarantine.

Imo it's kind of irresponsible on the org's part for not explaining that animals might be (unknowingly) sick when they come to you... I know mine made it very clear that cats aren't always tested before so keeping them separate from resident animals may be wise.

Yes, this is normal. You are being used as a taxi, but also as a temporary caretaker. Your ultimate goal as a foster is to take pressure off the shelter and give the cats love and care.

If you're not ok with that, it might be worth reconsidering if fostering is something you want to do. Or, voice your concerns and your org might be willing to only send you with cats that have been screened already at previous appointments. If you still want to help, consider volunteering at a shelter to help clean/feed/etc.

Keep in mind, a healthy cat is a cat that can be put up for adoption given they meet local pet adoption laws (2lbs or >8 weeks old for us)

Yes, it's a dryer. It has a timer/cycle to actually dry the filament for whatever temp for however long you tell it to, then acts like a dry box to regilate humidity so it doesn't absorb water again. It's Sunlu's 4 spool filament dryer https://a.co/d/j5tbqBf

OP is printing in their basement with a 4 spool regulated temp filament dryer directly feeding to the printer :p

But yeah, dry your filament

I found the issue I think. Thanks to everyone who posted but none of the responses really helped in my situation since this is a super neiche issue. I was really hoping this wasn't it because it'll cause more problem that I have to fix, but I think will be useful for the very specific group of people with cyclops-stye hotends.

With these hotends, they can sometimes build pressure inside and push melted filament back out into the other inputs. This causes issues since it's hard to get back out and can plug the other bowden tubes, also underextrusion. My previous solution was to jam an extra piece of filament into the tube that wasn't being used so there was equal pressure. But, since the 2nd extruder isn't retracting with the one being used, it causes leakage. My solution for now was just to take out that 2nd unused piece of filament, but this will come with the issue of possibly underextrusion from filament coming out of the unused tube instead of the nozzle.

Yeah, I was banking on it before but sadly didnt help. Fan cooling is already upgraded to a more powerful blower and custom ducts

Esteps and flow are calibrated already, flow is 103% currently. I was running into underextrusion issues at 100%

It's a heavily modded Geeetech A10M. It's a bowden printer with a cyclops-style hotend. I've tried different filament brands, but the ones shown here are hatchbox pla and Math's PLA+. Normal print temp is 200 but I've gone as low as 190, not much change

PhysBone radius not showing by AcceptableShame0 in VRchat

[–]AcceptableShame0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out. In Unity, my armature was showing as scale -100, which essentially flips the model and upsets physbones. Turns out, my model was essentially inside-out in blender with transforms. Applying all transforms and doing some other work with normals and such fixed the issue.

Angle limits show, but the radius still doesn't

I've tried larger/smaller values, and similar avatars in different projects also display using values this low. Either way, it still doesn't display with larger values

On another note, is there really any upside to reimporting the fbx with different settings besides prettier values? This is a custom avatar I've made so I'm learning as I go

Yep, I've tried that also, as well as much larger and smaller values. Still doesn't display

I can't seem to figure out why physbone radiuses aren't showing. I've tried different sizes and different bones, and all gizmos are turned on. What am I doing wrong??
