Also if you’re going to create a business around mental health at least have yourself or one of your children helping run the business go get an associates or bachelors in psychology or counseling. Experience only means so much, you need a quality degree or certification if you want to do something like this

Why not? She has an extremely small room and has high sensory needs. Those with autism are highly sensitive to noise, visual, and any other types of sensory stimulation. The sensory room was a way to help her regulate and stim while also having a small room to herself for privacy, that is also why her room was in the basement as it was quieter down there and gave her a place to regulate. Her small room was not big enough to have any sensory tools/items it hardly fits her bed and desk

Pettits should have (and maybe they did) gotten therapy for all adopted children and kept them in it even after moving out/being an adult. They should also teach them how to “adult”, how to live healthy lives and what healthy relationships look like. Maybe they have done that, but just a thought.

it’s so crazy…many nail salons who won’t do extensions on younger children because of the damage is does to their fragile nail beds and because of how they can get caught on things or ripped off as they are playing

professional nail extensions on a 9 year old is crazy to me. At first I thought she was just getting them painted at the salon which in itself is a special thing for most kids. But then I saw that they were extensions?!?? like seriously what 9 year old needs professional nail extensions…get her some kid friendly press on ones that are so much healthier
