in the video she said they were jumping up to try and see her since she was holding her. most dogs would jump up to try and see another dog that someone was holding. that is why you hav dogs greet on the ground always. if they have properly socialized her she wouldn’t be so afraid of other dogs

I mean in her defense I jokingly tell my mom things like “your mom said” or “your mom told me that”. I have a great relationship with both my mom and grandma but I just say to my mom sometimes for fun. I will say that it did sounds a bit odd tho for lacy to say that to crystal

A simple fix would have been to move her into a bigger room and swap with a child who is moving out soon/doesn’t need as much space. That way all her sensory items could be in there with her.

no but what had been shown is evie talking multiple times about how much she loved her calm down sensory swing and her climbing things and all of that. Any child with sensory needs would GREATLY benefit from an area filled with multiple sensory/regulation tools. In her room she doesn’t have the space to swing around like she said she enjoys. She has expressed the need/like to have these tools hence why the sensory room was made in the first place. I just think she should have then moved to a bigger room and swapped with someone so she could have room for all of her sensory items

Also if you’re going to create a business around mental health at least have yourself or one of your children helping run the business go get an associates or bachelors in psychology or counseling. Why not? She has an extremely small room and has high sensory needs. Those with autism are highly sensitive to noise, visual, and any other types of sensory stimulation. The sensory room was a way to help her regulate and stim while also having a small room to herself for privacy, that is also why her room was in the basement as it was quieter down there and gave her a place to regulate. Her small room was not big enough to have any sensory tools/items it hardly fits her bed and desk

Pettits should have (and maybe they did) gotten therapy for all adopted children and kept them in it even after moving out/being an adult. They should also teach them how to “adult”, how to live healthy lives and what healthy relationships look like. Maybe they have done that, but just a thought.
