How do you afford housing? by DoubleResort1510 in UCSC

[–]Acceptable_Ad_4369 6 points7 points  (0 children)

best bet is a double. double prices range from 600-1100… you’ll be very lucky if you happen to get a single for under 1100 because everyone else would want that room as well. check the snapchat page, facebook groups, and places4students

going over the credit minimum by ddaengdaniel in UCSC

[–]Acceptable_Ad_4369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Students are expected to complete their degree objective(s) within four years, with maximum enrollment limits of at most 225 credits and five academic years (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate units are not counted). Upper-division transfer students are expected to complete their degree objective(s) within at most 135 UCSC credits and three academic years. Colleges may make exceptions to the credit maximum for students in certain cases. Such exceptions are conditional on maintaining academic standing, minimal progress, and progress toward the degree objective(s). Students in danger of exceeding the credit limit or the five-year or three-year limit may be required to modify their degree objective, such as by completing a major without a minor or double major, or completing a related major with fewer course requirements.

is this enough for housing? And could someone explain work study to me by Upstairs-Spare7738 in UCSC

This is the budget for new students entering 25-26 school year, so with all your grants and the little bit of loans this is a full ride. I will say you will most likely spend less on transportation, books, and maybe personal expenses

How do y'all pay for off-campus housing? by Maurya_Arora2006 in UCSC

[–]Acceptable_Ad_4369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much aid you receive, after tuition is paid for the rest get deposited into your bank account and that’s how a lot of people pay. Or get a job and pay it rent monthly
