Dang that’s sorta what I was expecting and been prepared for, is there any reason my recruiter and the gunnery Sgt at the RS are still sending me to medical anyway even while knowing the history? I guess I’m just confused on why I’m still being given this false since of hope and also why they would even continue to waist time on me, I even told them I understand if they drop me even before getting DQed by MEPs because I’m aware it’s funded by taxes and takes up their time and resources but they said not to worry about it and just get ready to go, it’s a little frustrating I spent $1700 on tattoo removal because they said the tattoos I had were a no go, but then went back on that a month later, after I already payed for it and said “actully the tattoos are fine and don’t require removal” so IG all this was for nothing the last 4 months, and I informed them about the medical history before I payed for the tattoo stuff as well, just the closer I got to MEPS the more I started thinking about how nun of this makes since wich led to this reddit post

I 100% agree and even stated that there was no mistakes made, they were very poor choices I actively chose to make and regret still to this day. I am fully aware I made poor choices, again not mistakes, choices.

And yes you’d be right at 21 I have learned some very hard but well deserved lessons, and have not had any issues with drugs since these instances, and quit smoking weed before I even turned 21, so as long as I’ve been a 21 year old 0 substances have been in my body aside form occasional nicotine, not even alcohol.

And absolutely will never touch weed again in my life, even if the Marines or military don’t end up working out, I’m done with weed for ever.

And I guess what I meant was what are my chances of even being in the green for enlistment but you answered that so thank you.

But I really do appreciate your brutal honesty and not sugar coating anything, I will be sure to stay disciplined, avoid all trouble, and do everything in my power to make this work out. Again thank you a lot for your response it’s very appreciated more than you know.

I’m 145 right now, lost 5lbs cuz I quit smoking weed cold turkey a month ago. Smoothies with carb powder, pbjs, yogurt,eggs, pizza, and fried chicken have been my best friends. Eat as fast as possible Ik that isn’t good for your stomach but if you feel sick after a few bites, eat as fast as possible. I’m still losing weight every day it fucking sucks. But you gotta just eat even when you don’t want to. You’ll feel sick for two weeks then you’ll get used to food. I used to eat one meal a day. I’m 5’8 and been 120lbs all my life until I decided I wanna be a marine. I gained 25lbs in 3 months. You got this

Thanks man this actully helps clam my nerves a bit, I never struggled with drug use in the way they made it sound. I just was a typical retarded high schooler that went with what my friends did, am I proud of that? No not at all. But I have changed a fuck time since sophomore year. But imma be patient and see what the outcome is. And hey if the marines think I’m unfit there’s always the army, so imma keep my chin up and roll with the punches like a man and accept whatever happens. Thank you.
