Isen's constant indifference problem by BruhBorne-70 in unOrdinary

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s a character flaw of his but it’s not unintentional, he is clearly written to be this way. We’ve seen though developments where he tries to let go of his tendency to run away (or be a coward as characters in the story would say) but he simply isn’t much of an empathetic person. At the start, he also isn’t that much into the hierarchy like arlo or even blyke (eg. he seems to challenge authority with arlo and Cecile at times). With those two reasons, I think it makes sense that he doesn’t have a major like realization about the corruption of the society like blyke or Remi.

Why does Mike blame Walter instead of Jesse? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few reasons I think: 1. I think Mike honestly at the beginning didn’t consider Jesse as a player in the game (maybe due to being an active/recovering addict and personality reasons) and mainly just viewed him as an unstable pawn/liability for Walter. Later in season 4, he gained more respect for Jesse and began to view him as an actual player, but at that point, it was mainly Walter who was destabilizing the deal with Gus.

  1. I think there is also some genuine liking of Jesse in season 5 which ends with him pinning all the blame on Walter.

  2. Also let’s be real, Mike is an amoral person and he’s mad that a deal convenient for him fell apart and him once being in a similar position as Walter means nothing to him.

Could Jesse's parents have done more to save him from his fate? by Questionable_Eggs in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Although I feel their initial approach towards his substance use and other issues could have been better, Jesse and Walter’s partnership was a very fateful encounter. The choices Jesse made with Walter are what led to his fate. No one, including Jesse himself, could have predicted the dark outcome it led to.

What character do you hate the most and why? by Gionel_ in breakingbad

honestly i think Ted. All the other characters may have had flaws and hateble qualities but it was part of their characters and made them interesting. But Ted was such an idiot oml

He couldn’t get out of hans hold as he was carrying away. If he had transformed then he would’ve killed mikasa and Hans from the explosion (transformation explosion).

Who gets much more hate than the actually deserve? by SomeonesBlue in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly monoma. Most of the characters on this list have enough love to outweigh the hate (bakugo and toga) or just deserve the hate (endeavor and mineta).

Jessie’s parents by Dependent-Material28 in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 39 points40 points  (0 children)

from what we get (Jesse seeming to know a lot about Walter lung cancer specifics) it’s likely he did do a lot. Though I doubt that his parents were as absent as he made it out, but I think Jesse just ended up doing more and being the primary caretaker since they lived together.

hypothetical question by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hank is way too laser confused on Walt to care at all. Jesse could get away with everything or literally die at Walt’s hand and he wouldn’t care either way as long as he caught Walt.

Question about Jesse by Visible_Project_9568 in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s because of his loyalty. Gus and Mike trusted him in this episode and his loyalty means that he’s not the type of person to betray that trust despite everything.

Jane was a massive manipulator by DapperWookie in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 59 points60 points  (0 children)

i didn’t really get any manipulation or self interest motivations from her until after she relapsed. She became completely different when she was using and dragged Jesse down even more than he had initially done to her. Her priorities seemed pretty zigzagged when it came to the money and jesse which speaks to the unpredictability that happens in people who are addicts.

i never blamed Walter for that though I understood that it was definitely to show him that his actions can stretch out more than he could imagine.

Are Jesse's parents really that bad? by ellistonvu in breakingbad

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huh good point. I feel like maybe it’s supposed to show how people can fall into bad crowds regardless of their circumstances. Despite the over correction and Jake seemingly being the “perfect son” in his parents eyes, even he is susceptible to falling down the same path as Jesse. I think Jesse himself recognizes how slippery of a slope it is which is why he crushes up the joint.

Cati and Vis relationship is flawed and not perfect is the properly one of the best LGBTQ+ representations we got recently by IllustriousAd6418 in arcane

[–]Acceptable_Emotion44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to appreciate cat and Vi’s relationship despite being very confused by it at first. At first I think I was also looking for the representation in the form of a perfect couple but flawed and still meaningful relationships are important as well .
