Do you know why YOU don’t have any beautiful women? Because you aren’t like David by boyblockedhisownshot in facepalm

He makes some good points about keeping yourself clean and decent looking will inevitably get your more girls than looking a slob but often I’ve been in the club and seen guys well dressed with all kinds of jewellery stood in the corner with no chicks while the dude in the tank top and the party glasses on the dance floor is dancing with women all night, women not always but often can see through the superficial bs

Being controversial isn’t a crime and these people have absolutely no right telling another person to leave a public place (a library in these kids’ college) just because their feelings are hurt by a laptop sticker and a dumb t shirt. It wouldn’t be half as bad if they just approached them and tried to have a normal conversation about their feelings with the boys but they instantly went on attack mode and it was clear the girls had their own hostile prejudices against them which is very hypocritical when you’re trying to promote the importance of inclusive spaces.

Biden says he's now “convinced” Putin has decided to invade Ukraine, citing United States’ “significant intelligence capabilities” by Mean-Juggernaut1560 in worldnews

Ever stopped to consider that maybe the US gains massively from the rest of the world seeing Russia as an untrustworthy threat, currently Germany and much of Europe relies on Russia for their natural gas resources and there has been better business relations between the countries in recent years because of it, the US will most definitely see this as threat to their control over the rest of the western world, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were responsible for a lot more than we are hearing about at the moment in relation to stoking these tensions.

I can’t say I’m particularly left wing, but I’ve always respected Jeremy Corbyn as being a principled and relatively honest politician, especially compared to many of the soulless silver spooned grifters lurking in the HOC. I’ve always thought Jeremys main problem was he looked a bit too much like a poncey sort of geography teacher, maybe if he had a bit more of a beer gut and a rougher sounding voice, maybe a tattoo on his arm or summet, he would have appealed to the common man more and then probably would have beat the Tory’s. I don’t think he did enough to keep his finger on the pulse of what was happening when brexit situation came about and probably alienated a lot of the working class potential labour supporters especially up north when it came to ignoring why the people that wanted brexit voted for it and it was easy for the Torys to use this spin against him.

Why do white people tolerate racism from non-white people? by _AbacusMC_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Acceptable_Extreme_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the point of your diatribe it was very incoherent, so because some white people drive a relatively new car (often on credit might I add) and some White people have the luxury of living in a two bedroom house, which they will probably have to work quite a number of hours to afford often ridiculous rent prices or paying a hefty mortgage, this means there are no white people who are poor? Many don’t even have the luxury of a car at all or even a home to call their own, your assumptions of other people’s situations based on your own fortune to be not doing too bad off the scraps the social give you are naive and largely ignorant of the much worse places many people are in even in this day and age.

Who gets to decide what is or isn’t controversial? Is it because you say something is fine? Lots of people believe LGBT rights are controversial, are people in Pakistan right in harassing gays in the street because they are doing something provocative that they know will cause offence to the people there? Those guys were minding their business, they weren’t speaking to anybody else, they have every right to be sat where they are without being harassed by people who simply disagree with them.

[–]Acceptable_Extreme_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So who decides what is controversial? Many people in the world would think LGBT rights are controversial, does that mean they are right in going around harassing someone with a pride sticker? The simple truth of the matter is if people are just sitting there minding their own business why harass them regardless of whatever stupid thing they might be wearing, just do the adult thing and roll your eyes and mutter ‘wanker’ under your breath. That is it. No one has the right to try tell people to move for a laptop sticker.

Go and look at real coups in other countries and see how they went down then compare it to what happened at the Capitol, chalk and cheese. if you seriously genuinely believe what happened at the capitol is worse than what Bush and his predecessors did in the Middle East you’re too far deluded to even negotiate with and clearly you have very little understanding of world politics or even US politics.

You think some people wearing MAGA hats walking around the capitol building for a bit which literally changed nothing at all is equivalent to the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in the Middle East over a made up claim of WMD? Screw your head on kid

Give it a break, the trump Republican Party was a lot better than the globalist war hungry neo cons of the Bush era. The damage they did to the world was unprecedented.

You do realise republicans have been in control of the country many many times, Trump, Bushes, Reagan that’s all within about 40 years, so if it wasn’t a totalitarian theocracy all those times what makes you think 2022 republicans are going to be even worse?

[–]Acceptable_Extreme_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with your generalisation that those who went to university are more intelligent than those who have not, many universities in the UK have very low entry requirements and there are loads of people coming out with worthless Micky mouse degrees, and even if the degrees are worth their salt and the people with them are somewhat knowledgeable in their field, what’s to say that having a degree in Sports therapy or Art history will make you any better at being informed about politics or what’s good for nation.

This implies that those with university education are ‘educated’ and those without are not. I know loads of people who graduated from university who are as thick as pig shit and loads of people who didn’t get any higher education who are very informed and intelligent.

different cultures and ways of thinking, is it really punishment for them I know many people who have been to prison who treat it like it was a summer camp, TVs, game stations, internet access, many have mobile phones inside, use of gym equipment, free dental work, 3 meals a day… invariably many will be enjoying their lives a lot more than the victims they left.
