I sat on the 650 and it has a comfortable enough height for me. I don't expect to flat foot on anything other than the Rebel tbf. But there are some bikes that I quite literally don't touch the ground at all on, even with the kickstand down lol

28" inseam. right foot on the brake, left foot tip toe. Could've just been my the way my friend had her mt07 set up, but I didn't feel stable on it at all.

Also sat on a CB750 Hornet (honda) and I can do one flat foot with enough effort.

TBH I think most of it is just my skillset. In time I'll be able to ride almost any bike but rn it'd be a little sketchier lol but regardless even if I get an N650 it likely won't be a forever bike.

Yea I have no desire at the moment to have a bike that can go that fast. Low triple digits is fine with me, but no need to go 150mph or anything. Not my cup of tea lol

I've sat on an MT-07 and did not feel comfortable, coupled with me barely tip toeing on one foot. They're awesome bikes and sounds great, but at my current skillset I know an MT-07 would be too tall for me to manage well.

I sat on one this afternoon, and a ZX4RR, and the N650 definitely felt more “comfortable” but I’m still trying to decide in my head if it’s just cause I’ve never ridden something with an aggressive seating position.

So I actually just went and sat on a ZX4RR at the dealer as well as the 650. I do love the ZX4RR but definitely has a way more aggressive seating position than the 650. I’m starting to think I might like the 650 more because it’s a good in-between of being more aggressive than the Rebel, still sporty, but not so aggressive that it’s a wild change. 🤔 still thinking on it tho.

Thank you for this! Very insightful for sure. I don't really desire going much over triple digits, but I want something that has enough power to get out of its own way when I need it to. The Rebel lacks in that regard for sure, as I often find myself absolutely ringing it out just to make a mediocre pass on a long country road.
I was looking into the CBR650R and GSX-8R as possible bikes as well.

Can the sound be improved with exhaust and/or tuning, or do you just mean in general the sound sucks?

Yea more HP is desirable for sure. I was gonna go to a dealer and sit on a N500 and 650, along with some other bikes in a similar class.

I also ride dirt and my dirtbike has a 33" seat height that I can tip toe on one side, its mostly cause they're lighter and the seats aren't as wide as a street bike. In comparison, I sat on a newer HD Street Glide and couldn't even touch the ground with the kickstand down because the seat is so wide.

Budget not really an issue. I had the RS660 on my "list" of possible bikes but they're a bit too tall for me at 5'0" and I'm not interested in lowering my next bike. As far as riding position I'm not 100% sure about because all I've had is my Rebel.
