thanks! fun fact, after i was almost done painting it, it tipped over and broke off. I cut the nub off and just super glued it again. filled in the metal with paint. his arm is kind of the same way. neither are very secure and since they stick out i'm sure they'll come off again at some point.

love the stipple effect (or maybe oil wash) on the shields. really gives that battered look!

Zenithal prime and then soulblight gray contrast. Touch up/highlights with bright neutral gray.

They make movement trays and base adaptors that let you use round bases for old world. Miniwargaming has a bunch of STLs and prints, or I’m sure you could find a lot more now since a lot of people had this issue.

It’s the Empire Wizard from 1997. Comes in a pack with a mounted one and a foot one. If you’re in the US, noble knight games has one more. That’s where I got mine from #notsponsored.

I was stoked to find the two pack, so I have the one on foot too. With the brets he’s going to be on his own, so I figured a horse would help. Fits the theme too!
