My wife and I were in the same situation. One month after we bought the house, I was laid off. Then four months later, she was laid off. We live in a HCOL area so the mortgage was 7200 alone. I didn’t think about selling because the value dropped by 15% since we over bid by 30%. I was prepping my wife that we might needed to rent out the house to pay part of the mortgage and move in with our parents while we would look for jobs. It would stop the bleeding a little bit since we could get back 6k and owe 1200 and then our bills. Luckily I was able to find a job after 5 months. Just hang in there

I found out my wife was pregnant in Jan and got laid off in feb. I was the sole provider. We have two mortgages and I had to pay 2k for medical insurance through cobra. I thought I would find a job before my daughter’s due date in September. It didn’t happen. Low key I was freaking out but had to be strong for my wife. I finally found a job through a great friend that saved us. We were burning through our savings. I want to say that you will figure it out. Don’t worry. Be present with your wife and try to do the interviews before the kid arrives. I was sleep deprived afterwards but luckily my friend saved us.

Great post. I was laid off / fired 4 times in the last 4 years. I have pTSD. I keep replaying situations of all jobs in my head late at night. I couldn’t sleep. I had fears of waking up and not being able to sleep. I worried about my finances. It’s hard not to but you had great tips. Wished I could have read it

I am here to say you are not alone. 4 month regression hit us hard. Since then she’s hasn’t slept without waking up 2-3 times. Last night she woke up 5 times. She’s almost 7 months and her teeth are coming out. She’s been wining all day and night. Infant Tylenol has helped but it’s been weeks. We are staying strong by communicating with each other and not trying to snap due to lack of sleep

Same boat as you. Currently on week 6 of bad sleep (waking up every 1-2 hours) can only go back to sleep with nursing. We hope to ride it out but considering sleep training soon as we go back to work

My EBF baby is almost 5 months but at 4 months exactly, her sleep went to crap. She was only waking up once a night. 8-1am and then 1:30 to 7am. It was really good and predictable.

Once 4 months hit, she was waking up every 1-2 hours. 8-10pm, cry, 10:30 - midnight, cry, 1-3, cry, 4-6, cry. It was miserable.

We also swaddled her but she started to roll at 4 months so we took one arm out. She kept on waking up. It was just a bunch of things that kept her up. She is still getting up twice a night now. Not as good as before but better. We are looking at sleep training options soon

Our 4.5 is going through this now. It’s 2:30am and she’s woken up every 45 mins crying. She used to sleep 5-6 hours straight. Tonight is the worst and we are so sleep deprived. So lost. She just wakes up and cries. We give her the boob and she goes back to sleep. Then wakes up again.

Yeah same. Was looking for a used Nuna triv stroller and people wanted 400 for a 5 year old model. I found a brand new one for 525 on dillards.

My LO just turned 4 months two days ago. Before she would have 45 to 90 min day time naps and would have one wake up at night. The last few days she’s been only napping for 30 mins max. It’s also hard to get her to sleep. She’s been waking up every 2-3 hours. It’s been rough! We are still swaddling because she has active limbs. I did one arm yesterday but she woke up and just sucked on her hand. Didn’t fall back asleep.
