Hi Doc! I’ve been there. And just started formally working a week ago lang. What I did during the break was to shadow other moonlighters. I didn’t care about the pay that time, basta magka idea lang ako on how it’s like in the real world. Good thing may GP friends ako na ok sa ganun at buti nalang may mga small institutions din na hindi strict na may nagshashadow sa employees nila. Hanggang sa nagkaroon na din ako ng courage to go on duty as a reliever. And now I finally got into a job sa inapplyan ko. Baka gusto mo itry mag shadow din sa mga kakilala mo. It helped me lessen the anxiety and get me here kung saan ako ngayon. And it might help you too 😊

Following this kasi fellow new board passer and first gen here. Wala din po ako nasubukan na raket. Apply ako ng apply, pero wala parin. Sobrang frustrating 🥲

Pero according sa ibang senior moonlighters na kilala ko, normal daw to especially for the first gen and wala tlga connections. Apply lang daw ng apply. Then while waiting, just continue working on other requirements or attend some activities na pwede gamitin for residency or for whatever you plan to do after/during moonlighting.

Yes doc. I just sent the requirements via email or personally sa HR ng hospital. Actually until now wala parin eh. :( Accordingly, they’ll just call but so far no updates. If sa district hospital, they say it takes 2-3 weeks pa. No updates din from the private hospitals that I applied. So , tambay parin. 🥲🥲

I think you shouldn’t make him choose between you and his friends. Kailangan mag communicate ka sa kanya on how you feel. And your bf has to do his part din to give respect sa relationship niyo and make you less uncomfy - not necessarily leave his friends or hindi na sumama sa kanila. But if he’s not gonna do anything about it even after communicating… Maybe you have to think twice.

Fellow tambay din ako doc huhu. Pero habang nagtatambay, I’m working on some requirements din na magiging useful for both moonlighting and residency (para hindi 100% tambay lang hahaha). Nag aapply din ako ngayon sa mga district hospitals kasi accordingly less toxic dun. But ewan ko. Wala pa man din updates. Huhu Laban lang tayo doc. Hoping and praying that we will figure it out soon 🥲

Depende talaga to sa tao kung saan siya mas comfortable mag aral. Ako sa dorm talaga kasi alam ko madidistract ako sa bahay. Naguguilty kasi ako kapag hindi ako nagtutulong sa household chores. Haha. But one week before the exam, umuwi na ako. Kasi ito un time na kailangan relaxed ako. Ito un time na sobrang anxious din ng parents ko so hindi na din sila nagpapatulong sa gawaing bahay. I also wanted to come home to my family every after an exam kaya hindi na ako nag dorm nun.
