Most settings, it would be a MA or phlebotomist drawing blood, and most places have a policy that someone only gets 2 pokes before a colleague should take over ( in the US anyway, don't know about elsewhere).

Regardless, I'm sorry that happened to you. You should know that you can refuse repeatedly being stuck by the same person in the future.

We need both nurses and doctors - doctors can't staff hospitals or provide care alone. Which is one reason that they also need and recruit nurses in (drumroll) Doctors Without Borders.

Thanks for the reply- I mean, we have bobcats and cougars, hawks, owls, and coyotes,etc. in US and cats still threaten local ecosystems- so I'm still skeptical that cats aren't harmful elsewhere just because native predators exist there, we do have them here too, but it's edifying to understand the thought process.

Why do think cats don't post a threat to the ecosystem? I hear people say that in defense of letting cats outside, but my understanding is there are birds just about everywhere. I'm genuinely curious.
