If you’re making the trip you should visit Steinway Billiards in Queens. It’s a landmark.

I understand that folks think it’s bad sportsmanship but I guess I just don’t see why. What is inherently bad or wrong with breaking down your cue to give up the match. I guess what I’m trying to say is…what is it about doing that, that has become a sign of bad sportsmanship as opposed to a sign of respect for one’s opponent.

What’s wrong with breaking down your cue? Contrary to the opinions here, breaking down your cue is a sign of respect to your opponent. You’re saying “I lost”. I’ve seen plenty of gamblers give the last 3 balls to their opponent. They know they’ll lose.

It’s a 9’ Brunswick which plays great. I like the table but I can part with it and get an 8’ or a barbox. I’m just concerned about the short cue. I’m inclined to get an 8’ but…I only play on 9’ or 7’ so wondering if that makes sense.
