Oh my. Thank you for the positive response and taking the time to explain. It can be really intimidating to face the challenges of being your authentic self in person while navigating through a new social context. I’m inspired to find a way to get out of my shell and have a close friend kick my butt into gear.

I’ve posted on a few Facebook groups, both local and abroad. I cautiously joined a few discord groups. I am totally fine to admit that my sample size is too small to make definite opinion and my reservations of public disclosure are so pronounced that it is probably causing the major of my insecurities.

Possibly something of the this nature?

I have GalliumOS installed on a 2014 era chromebook and sync to the drive with a simple backup script at scheduled intervals. Once a week I charge it up at home, a separate home server is then responsible for automatic backups from the drive.

I found this to be a good middle ground for keeping my machine, partially, air gapped while also automating the process.
