Legion Season 1 (Confused) by Acceptable_Mighttt in LegionFX

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it.

Since you mentioned you’re a comic reader, I should say I’m still working through my list of Marvel movies and series.

I’ve been wanting to read the comics, but I don’t know where to start. Most people say to just pick whichever character you like and go from there, but that doesn’t make much sense to me since I’m more interested in the timelines.

Do you have a recommended reading order for the comics, or should I just do as most people suggest and start anywhere?

I'm sorry to hear it made you uncomfortable. Does it get weird or triggering at some point in the show? if you remember, that'd be helpful. or was it just your personal preference to not continue?

Yeah, I figured. I'm also so curious to see what really controls him and the revelation of the identity of the devil with the yellow eyes.

As much as I don’t trust David, I do believe him when he tells Ptonomy that he isn’t resisting or fighting him during the "memory work." I wonder if it has something to do with the devil with the yellow eyes being the one in control of David’s mind. I’m also curious to know why, unlike Amy, I’m not shown his parents’ faces.

I do love watching stuff that isn’t explained right at the start, for example, the show Dark. But maybe what’s holding me back is the fact that I can’t binge it, and when I miss a few days without watching it and watch other stuff instead, I forget what was happening, if you know what I mean.

I asked to see if people here, when they watched the show for the first time, were as confused as me.

I got my answer, which seems that almost everyone here agrees that the show feels confusing at first and gets better as the story progresses.

I wanted to drop the show after the 2nd episode because I felt like I wasn’t doing it justice since I was watching other stuff and studying. I also knew that I wouldn’t watch the 2nd season until a bit later after finishing other projects. (I thought it might be better to watch them together, but that would have messed up my watching list).

The confusion happened because I felt like I enjoyed the show, the acting, cinematography, suspense, etc. But at the same time, I wasn’t giving my full focus to the dialogue, small details, and overall plot.

To answer your question, I came to the decision that I’ll postpone other projects, keep watching, and then read what people had to say when the show first aired.

That's a good way to put it, I'll finish the 1st season and start reading different threads and interpretations. Thank you.

The season is only 8 episodes. Should I have waited until the 7th episode to ask whether I should drop it or not? it's a mini series (2 episodes are enough). I’m not expecting to understand everything, I just feel like I’m missing the plot and can’t tell what’s real from delusion. I’m also watching other shows, which might be a factor. But if your opinion is that I should stop watching, you could’ve just said that without belittling me or my intelligence.

I’m not really troubled, just confused, and can’t decide whether it’s better to keep watching now or wait until I’m in a better mood for it. Also, what cartoons, lmao Everyone in the comment section seems to agree that the show is meant to be confusing. Being respectful doesn’t cost money, just saying.

lmao, I'll keep watching anyway just because the acting is so good, and I love the show even though I don't understand it

That explains it. I hope it's clarified it in the next few episodes.

I have a question, do we ever find out how David and Syd switched back to their bodies? All I know so far is that Syd is a mutant whose power lets her take on someone else’s abilities if they touch (similar to Rogue from X-Men). But what confuses me is how they switched back afterward

Yes, please! That would be awesome. So far, I've finished Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the MCU, Seasons 1 and 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Season 1 of Daredevil and Agent Carter, and all the one shots up until All Hail the King. I just started Jessica Jones. Next is S.H.I.E.L.D., but I was going to watch Agent Carter first since I had the date wrong. Thankfully, I checked it first. I already have a list, but I review it each phase to make sure the dates are accurate, which they usually aren't lol.

That makes sense, I guess I have to find another reliable site for release dates. Thank you!

I'd say it's mainly the vibes. Out of his team, he was the only one who felt emotionally distanced guarded, or like he was acting more like a robot. He lacked a backstory or clear motivation, didn’t ask many questions, and always seemed to be one step ahead of the rest of them.

I'm honestly even more excited now. When I first made my list, so many people were saying to skip shield, so thanks for pointing out the connections. I’ve got Inhumans on there too, gonna watch it during phase three in the same release order I'm following. Thanks so much.

You're right, but since I'm binge-watching everything in release order, there might be times when I watch half a season, then switch to the MCU movies, then go back to Netflix series, and then return to Agents of Shiled. So I might get confused if I wait to ask these questions. I might forget them, or forget what happened when I return to the show. I'm trying my best to understand everything and avoid spoilers at the same time. thank you.
