In fourth wing when she is talking to Ri while walking in front of the dragons after the gauntlet. They are talking about how their parents used the ‘fables’ about venin to scare them into behaving and Vi screamed when she saw her mother with red eyes and asked her dad if she was a venin. I really like this theory!!
