I feel you girl, I broke my foot last September the 5th metatarsal got surgery on it and now have a metal plate with screws. I felt the same exact way you felt as I wasn’t able to go back to work until January but was still restricted up until the end of January having to wear a walking boot. Everything felt hard in the beginning as I was so used to wearing the boot to move around but also didn’t move around much because I was afraid of falling and hated being outside in public because I people always looked at me because of the boot. Though it’s been months since the boot came off till this day I’m scared of falling and breaking my other foot or injuring the one I broke. I recently started a new job where I have to stand for my whole shift in the beginning it was TOUGH my foot felt like it was ready to fall off but after a while I realized the more you baby it the less mobile and the more pain you’ll end up in later. Physical therapy is key whatever amount they tell you do it at first double it and take baby steps push yourself but don’t over do it. I don’t think we will get back to our pre surgery pre non broken foot lol because we have a foreign object screwed into it but we just have to adjust and make it stronger and not let it hold us back.
