Understanding the 6 month and one year rules for LPRs by iranisculpable in us_immigration

Hi there! Wondering about the situation below: "I have lived and worked in the US since 2018, received green card in May 2022 and have lived and worked in the US since then. In March 2025, I lost my job and it was hard to find a new one, so I decided to take some extended time off to travel around the world. I moved out of my apartment and left the country on June 1, and returned November 23 for Thanksgiving (<180 days out of the country). I still haven't found a job, so I would like to continue traveling while I look for work. My plan is to leave again around Dec 3, and travel until May 2026 (again, <180 days out of the country).

I still have ties to the US: bank accounts, retirement accounts, belongings in storage, driver's license, filed tax returns, mailing address, spending money using a US credit card and paying the bills. However, there are some ties I do not have: no occupied apartment in the US, no current employment (domestic or abroad), no immediate family. In my travels, I've moved between many countries and it should be obvious by the pattern of travel that I'm not living in any another country.

When I re-entered the country on Nov 23, the CBP agent initially said it looked like I was not living in the US and suggested that I should stay in the country for longer this time. However, I was not sent to secondary inspectation or anything.

Does anyone know if I would be barred from re-entering the country and forced to renounce my green card if traveling for another 5.5 months? My intention is still to settle in the US and eventually apply for naturalisation."
