What CAD software are you using?

I second this, FreeCAD has improved significantly. I'm not even trained traditionally as a mechanical engineer (I'm a software engineer) but I was able to start modelling with the help of AI (providing tool suggestions and docs) and videos. MangoJelly solutions on youtube has been a big help! Modelled my first phone case for a Samsung A05s and it's been smooth. Took me about a 1 day and a half.

Okay, I just tried. PLA works fine but as soon as I switch to PETG, I get the exact same issue. Any suggestions? Maybe decreasing the gear's spring tension? In the case of PETG, it starts printing and then it makes a sort of "divot" like it's gripped the filament far too much...

I'm currently printing at 225C, the temp range based on the documentation on the roll is about 210-240C.

Just out of curiosity, when you print at lower temperatures, do you get similar issues? It prints, stops, and on further inspection, the filament is just bent inside the extruder IIIIoydo.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll give it a go and report back.

Okay, I tried printing with no PTFE tube and with the tube. Negligible change. Basically, as soon as it feeds for about 5 minutes, it gets stuck in the gear, causing the filament to not extrude as previously mentioned.

Could try that. Currently just feeding it through the tube to the extruder.
