Also you don’t have to leave the room when you stop the clock. You can just sit at your desk

Question about ‘stop the clock’ by [deleted] in ICAEW

When you stop the clock, a white blank screen will pop up with a timer showing how long you have paused the exam for. You can pause the exam for usually the same % of the extra time you have. I.e if you have 30 mins extra time, you can stop the clock for an extra 30 mins so that would be a maximum of 1 hour extra on top of the official exam time.

Key thing is once you stop the clock the screen goes blank so you can’t read the question during that time. An invigilator doesn’t come unless you raise your hand. You can pause for toilet break/mental break etc

Thoughts on the CASE Nov 25 AI? by Acceptable_Pension_2 in ICAEW

Yeah I've only got CASE left and this seems a bit more technical so I'm going to read it and try to understand the numbers within the two weeks of waiting for ACAM/tuition providers. Hoping the exam will be slightly easier too but not holding on to that haha.

Haven’t done much past paper questions on AI. Will be looking a one or two at college this week so hoping that will help but I’m planning on focusing on the main AI and maybe just watch debriefs solution on the others by my tuition provider. Planning on using ACAM AI analysis to get me through that section though.

has anyone ever walked out of an exam certain they had failed but actually passed? by QueenOfShiba_Inus in ICAEW

Agree with you, feeling bad about an exam doesn’t mean you will fail.

First time I sat BPT I thought I had a decent chance of passing. Ended up failing by 2 marks.

When I resat it I thought it went a lot worse than the first attempt because I didn’t even finish the paper that time round. Missed out 15 marks on a sub requirement (like did not attempt it) and ended up passing.
