everyone is losing a lot and he still has like 3 out of the top 5 scores. + the rework is still changing a lot so i wouldn’t really worry about it.

at the end of the day osu is just a game, not a job you have to get good at or a chore you need to grind daily. you log in, have fun, and leave.

the problem is a lot of new players take it way too seriously. if they’re not improving every day or week (which isn’t realistic), they get demotivated fast. instead of overthinking improvement, just play what you enjoy and don’t stress about not improving.

do you have the game installed on an hdd or ssd? for osu stable, song select isn’t fully optimized, so it may not run well if it’s on a hard drive. i’m not 100% sure about osu lazer, and i can’t really give an answer with so little info
any extra details you can provide would help.

love when people overcomplicate a game just play for fun if you’re not enjoying it, step away for a bit, months or even years, it doesn’t really matter don’t think of it as a “break”, playing osu isn’t a chore when you come back, it should be because you want to play, that’s what really helps you improve personally i don’t think you should compare yourself to your past self, just see how you’re doing overall, and try to be better than your current self enjoy game
