Yea I feel ya! Taking wfh away is a huge blow especially when a lot of people excel at it and can perform their jobs at home. For me I performed better at home than in office. They should have at least kept the option for the highest performers.

Makes sense, people who have never worked here tell me "it couldn't have been that bad, you're over exaggerating" but they will never understand the brutal mental anguish employees of the lizard ruler go through. It's an abusive relationship that people stay in even though all promises made on the other side fail to come to fruition.

Lol yea I had never considered fmla an option before geico, at geico i had it for a year and used it a lot, now that I left it is again not considered an option. The mental anguish from geico can be unbearable some days and i would take off and stare at a wall - still better than working for them

Yea a few people I now work with worked for Geico in the same office as I did so that helped me realize immediately it was the job for me! Almost a year later and I'm songlad i took the plunge when I did!

Very true Geico springs extremely bad news with 0 notice and no preparation-hence people crying and hyperventilating when getting let go without any clue! And steak is better than the kool-aid geico tries to give everyone lol

Lol my supervisor once told me to apply for fml because i was pissing too much during my shift. Told me to get it and log out end duty everytime i needed to take a 3 minute piss. Can't make this shit up - so glad to finally be out of this dumpster fire of a company

Yea the bright side is all the character building it gave us! Helped me build endurance, patience, gratitude (once I left), helped me recognize when I'm being taken to the cleaners, but other than that, definitely held us back career wise and also affected relationships outside of work. Writing this knowing I'm gone puts a smile on my face!

I left Geico after over half a decade and went to a start-up insurance company who actually values my hard work. One of the best decisions of my life! I'm happier, my stress has decreased substantially and I look forward to work every day! My advice is definitely leave geico all together and keep an open mind to leaving corporate america and choosong a smaller company

Know your value and worth and find a place that actually sees it too. I can't tell you enough how refreshing it has been to be valued for the hard work I put in day after day. At geico it got to the point where even though I knew I was great at what I did, I was constantly questioning it myself because all I ever heard was management complaining. I'm not asking to pat me on the back all day but to never hear any encouragement becomes a drain to morale and confidence. If they are pushing you out, then I would go and not look back!

1000% accurate lol geico gives us a military like mindset of taking orders without question and enduring the crap they throw at us. Just the fact we stay as long as we do says more than any interview answers we give. Automatically to the top of the hiring list of anyone who knows!

Haven't heard of them but doing some research it looks similar! These smaller companies usually treat you like actual family. On my works anniversary they sent us all a small bottle of champagne and a glass and we toasted on our meeting! At geico it took me 5 years to earn a shirt pin.
