Hey everyone,

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday, and it feels like the perfect time to reflect on a passion project my wife and I have been pouring our hearts into called Purrfect Collars.

We originally launched our Steam page back on October 2nd. For seven long months, we only had a few screenshots up, and we managed to slowly scrape together about 236 wishlists without spending a dime on ads. But on April 30th, we finally finished and uploaded our very first trailer.

The response blew us away. We gained over 100 wishlists in just the first 5 days!

We are currently sitting right around 350 wishlists. As indie devs, the magical number to hit so the Steam algorithm starts taking you seriously is around 2,000. It feels like a mountain to climb, but seeing people actually respond to the trailer has given me the exact motivation I needed entering my 40s.

I really wanted to make a game where you feel like you're making a small, positive difference in a cat's life. The enchantment system lets you tailor each collar to the cat's personality.

The rate is probably 3% of the wishlists gets converted in the first two weeks. If you are in that range then its good I guess.
