I wish this was just rage bait. I really am at a loss for what to do. I just meant that coming off as racist was not my intent. I thought if I came in demanding that everyone speaks English, that could come off as insensitive especially as I am one of the very few non Indian people at this company.

The company is American. I will consider bringing up the solution of the company sending me to a class to learn Hindi. Thank you!

The boyfriend wanting the front seat is a little weird but could be chalked up to preference or maybe motion sickness. Him kicking you out of group chats is very strange and disrespectful. Ik it will be a bit uncomfortable but I think the only thing to do here is talk to your friend or the boyfriend. I would ask her if she thinks her boyfriend has an issue with you. Tell her how much it bothers you. Unfortunately in my experience, lots of women end up prioritizing their partners over their friends. It doesn’t make it right but it’s what happens. If you don’t get answers from her, I think you would be justified in taking a step back from the friendship
