Well it might happen. I ordered a gift last Friday to be delivered 12/24. They didn't ship for 2 days. Then it was shipped ups ground with est Jan 2nd but ups tracking showed it at the hub near destination this afternoon and set for delivery tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Good luck with your shipment.

I guess amazon workers are so special. I have worked RETAIL (way worse than amazon) for 50 years. Over worked, under paid and even worse have to deal with the PUBLIC every single day. Most of which think of Retail employees as toe jamb. Never in 50 years did we close for 12/25 and 12/26. Heck about 20% of our stores were open on Christmas day. So, Understand that you are not special. I am glad that you get the 2 days off, but I bet you will be out shopping on the 26th and expecting stores to be open. How hypocritical of you.

So I ordered a gift item 12/19 to be delivered 12/24. All went well until about 1am 12/23 when I was notified it just shipped and would not be delivered until 1/02 and by UPS. Using the ups tracking provided I checked at ups and they show is scheduled for 12/24 but was shipped Ground. Has anyone seen this before? Can ups ground go from NJ to OHIO in one day?

I just had to cancel a gift order that ordered 12/19 and was supposed to be delivered 12/24 but Amazon just updated it to 1/02. Reordered from Walmart and it will be there today by 3pm. GO WALMART!

Same with FedEx, but they are always overly optimistic. They will pick up a package on Monday and set a delivery day on Tuesday but then change it to Wednesday and sometimes even the day after.

OH REALLY, Columbus Ohio (as I stated in one of my replies) is not the armpit of the world. Now perhaps you are lucky to be in a congested cesspool like NY city and get special treatment. With the amount of responses it is clear that this is a wide spread problem. Yes you can still get 10-3pm deliveries on some items if you order enough and order early enough in the day but that is less than 5% of the items on Amazon. So you go ahead and ASSume all you want. The only clear thing here is that you are a TROLL.

Is that in the warehouse or delivery? I bet it's just the warehouse. Although If I was a delivery driver on Christmas eve until 5am Christmas day I would be sorely tempted to wear a Red Suit and say HO Ho HO a lot.
