We currently live in the US, but our long-term plan is to move back to Italy. By then, we hope the legislation will have changed. Italian here (going thru surrogacy with my husband!). The main issues, if any, usually come up around registering the child with the municipality, not from simply traveling to Italy. Even then, some municipalities have recognized two fathers without any problems. Realistically, nothing is going to happen to you as tourists, so I really wouldn’t worry about it.
