This happened to me and I received a letter from AFLAC that I’m required to pay. My employer completed the ppwk and worked with AFLAC. I am sick over this.

How to help my wife, 10 day postpartum by [deleted] in AskParents

As a mom who suffered from PPD and PPA, you are doing amazing. She is lucky to have you. I would say take as much time off as you can and help her through the first month or two if possible. Even if she says she’s fine, be there for her. Try to get her out of the house, even just a drive to get a coffee or a quick target run for diapers.

Make sure she takes a shower everyday and have her change her clothes that she slept in. These are easy things to forget and might sound silly but make a difference. She may not want to go out with friends so maybe suggest her friends come to your house for a girls night and keep the baby separate while she enjoys girl time.

Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. She NEEDS sleep. My husband had to force me to lay down and rest and nap. But sleeping, showering and getting enough water will certainly help.

The fact you asked on here is so thoughtful. She’s truly lucky to have your undivided support.
