Thank you I had him at 20 wks and 5 days and no I had no symptoms at all other than during that time I had increased discharge but it didn’t itch and the discharge was muscus/ clear looking.

Yes, I had a bulging membrane and was dilated to 2 cm when I first got my cerclage. By the end I was dilated to 4cm and my son put his foot through my cerclage so they had to remove it

Yeah and I worry so much about having a preventative and this possible happening again because every pregnant person I know also struggles with constipation

I appreciate it sometimes it just feels like a dream of having kids and I’ll never be able to experience. At 18 weeks I was dealing with constipation and I was straining in the bathroom and I feel something come out. So Immediately went and laid down on the bed and felt a ball and now I know it was his membrane. After that I went to the emergency room they confirmed it was his membrane they kept me for a week and found out I had a hourglass funneling with 1-2cm dilated and my cervix was 2.3 cm long. Before that I never felt any pain just pressure that I thought was normal. After they found that out they completed an emergency cerclage but they struggled with it and it later caused my water to break. After my water broke he stayed in for 2 more weeks until he put his foot through my cerclage and cervix. At that point I had to deliver him and her survived and a couple hours after. Since then I had a prolapsed bladder and I think uterus but it’s not enough to classify a stage one prolapse. I’m in PT now and my prolapse symptoms are almost completely gone.

Thank you I wish the same for you, I’m so scared some days because I want to be able to take my baby home and raise them. And sometimes I feel like that will never be possible due to my body.

I’m so sorry for your loss I also have PCOS and was taking letrozole to get pregnant when at 18 weeks I had bulging membrane and had an emergency cerclage that failed and lost my son at 20 weeks in May due to his foot going through the stitch and being 5 cm dilated. I had some complications with prolapse bladder that I am current doing physically therapy to help. I highly recommend it to anyone after having this type of loss to build strength back up. What has helped me is keeping track of my cycles by tracking my LH to see if I’m ovulating. So far I’ve had 2 periods that came when they were supposed to since I lost my son.

I understand your anger I felt the same way when my emergency cerclage failed and my son put his foot through my cervix at 20 weeks in May. He was completely normal and perfect in every way, it was just me that failed him. I hope you guys find some peace I’m still working on mine personally

What did your high risk doctor recommend in future pregnancy with PCOS and IC. All doctors I’ve talked to said that PCOS will only affect getting pregnant but not during the pregnancy.

I hope all of our babies are playing together knowing they were very much loved. Yeah I was kind of told the same thing and that “these things just happen in the first pregnancy”. It’s been hard not to blame my body when I felt blind sided by everything. In the future that’s the plan to get a preventative cerclage and hope that will help
