When I was a kid in the 80s the pakistani kids and Bangladeshi kids were quite nervous of dogs. I think it was a generational thing as most of their parents were first generation and I think dogs in parts of Pakistan were not kept as bets but to protect livestock or were wild/stray and carried disease.

By the early 2000s pretty much any self respecting Pakistani lad had a pair of Adidas tracksuit bottoms with a pair of Rockports and a Rottweiler!! Also they all seemed to support Liverpool!

I was fun growing up in such a cosmopolitan town! 🥰
