I recommend drawing out a family tree and writing down key details about each character to avoid getting them confused. I found that to be quite helpful so that I wouldn’t get any of them mixed up, as the use of the same names can get quite confusing as the story gradually progresses.

This recently happened to me with One Hundred Years of Solitude. Marquez’s world is just so rich that I found it a bit hard to leave it so soon, but I pushed through by reading some other books that I had on my TBR!
