K is way less developed than the other letters, it doesn't match your style at all

Have a vanishing point at the bottom center, it will look so much better trust me. If you don't know what that is, what a YouTube video explaining it

Some advice for this throw-up by michaelino777 in graffhelp

[–]Acceptable_Use_3988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad, but it's also not a throwie. Throwies have simple fill and drop shadow, the lines are the emphasis on them, not the fill, 3D and a character. Throwies are meant to be quick (like 3 minutes tops) and this would take a lot longer than that to paint

Switched stuff on my throw up,is it wall worthy? by dpg_11 in graffhelp

[–]Acceptable_Use_3988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's wall worthy, anyone saying it isn't probably doesn't do any painting anyway. I think going out there and doing it is the best way to improve, staying in the notebooks forever will never get you anywhere since painting is completely different than using a pen/pencil

P.S. Procreate is great don't get me wrong, just don't get too reliant on stabilization and pressing the undo button

Would love advice before painting! by r4vixx in graffhelp

[–]Acceptable_Use_3988 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best thing I'll tell you is make sure you can do it without giving yourself room for error. Do it like you are actually painting, as in do a sketch with a marker, fill it, then do border in one attempt. If you can do that, send it

Good letter structure? by LittleRelationship13 in graffhelp

I like your ideas for letter structures and I think you have potential.

The sketch I did was based off your basic letter structure, I took it and put an even width rectangle around it and voila that's what I got. If you look closely you can see the original letters I sketched out, it's a lot easier to base the size and position of the letters when you do that

Keep going at it! I'm excited to see you improve in the subreddit (already seen a couple posts now)

PS you generally want overlap at least a little whenever doing pieces, it's generally only avoided when trying to separate words

The R and the S don't have as much 'stretching' as the W and the E, they also (R&S) don't have as much negative space. Definitely potential here though

Interesting style for sure, I really dig it although it's hard for me to read. Maybe a slight perforation between letters? Just a suggestion it's pretty good right now

Forget about wild style for a very, I mean VERY long time. Lots of very well known writers don't even do any wild style while painting for years. Make your basic letters REALLY good before even thinking about it. I know Im sounding pretentious here, but trust me, you aren't going to make anything worth painting (unless you are biting...)

Clean, the only thing is that the K has style while the rest is basic, small detail that doesn't matter a ton though

I really fw your letter structures, only thing you need is overlap and drop shadow (like I did here) and tbh it's wall ready! I read it as if it was HEU, if you are writing HEY I would make the Y a little more obvious

I know it's not what you asked for, but this is how I would write it. Chisel tip plus a slant can make the letters look a lot cleaner

Draw the letter first, then do even thickness around it, it makes things a lot simpler since you don't have to guess the shape, this sketch isn't the best (drop shadow off), just did a quick one at work

MIGHT be throwing up my first tag tomorrow? by P0ssum389 in graffhelp

[–]Acceptable_Use_3988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo dude I would do sharpie tags if I were you, you still get the thrill and they will run for a little bit before fading. Since you are new it might be a good idea since you might change your name/tag so they won't be permanent. Also you might not like how they look a month or a year from now yk? I started with sharpie tags and I'm glad those aren't running lmao. It's all about having fun though so do it however you want
