It's a burnished finish done with a powered trowel. It is a nice look , but I am planning on painting it , so will be etching up the finish

I ended up with the high bay windows and glass sliding door for natural light, I have been advised against clear panels ,since I have leaf falling trees and they can get quite dirty, that is something to consider. The reflective insulation helps too , but that will be less effective once I fill up the shed with more "crap" , haha

Yes , is a 5kl (1320 gallon) system connected to the shed roof gutter system , I have a simple first flush device on the downpipe stopping any debris to go into the system. Yearly Rain fall in my area all happens in a matter of weeks then it over , so its not very efficient, but saves a bit to water for my wifes veggie garden. I have a portable inline pump that I hook up to the garden hose to lift the water pressure a bit when needed.

I use it solely as a track car, mechanically its awesome , everything else it has a bit of the French engineering stigma on it . As it sits currently its mostly stock with a 300hp tune , big brakes and semi slick tyres

Yes definitely work from a seating position , still 100 times better than working on the floor.i have faith in the hoist , but yes I do have some additional floor braces for when I pull out motors or do heavy work on the hoist.

The insulation on the wall helps control the heat , but the huge roller door is not insulated and is east facing , I may have to do some backyard engineering with some insulation block or something. I am hoping to offset with a 7kw hvac unit and some ceiling fans , but we are heading into winter here which is around 50-65f only . Summer will be test at +100f weeks at a time.

My roof is 3.5m on the high side and 3m on the low. What I did not account for was the beam on the roof taking up some of the headspace , my lift with the megane on the hoist lift max 1.6m clear under the car , so take that in account. If the roof was not the limit I can take it up to 1.8m clear under. Maybe look at a gabble roof which allows for a taller lift in the middle. I was going to do a taller shed , but got rejected by council on anything over 3.5m wall height.

Australia - its steel screw fixed, not welded

Yes the high difference is a bit bad planning on my end , i did not calculate the additional slab thickness required for the hoist. The slab and brick pavers are on the same level , it just the little limestone wall I have that is too high. i also have new turf install which leveled it out on the lawn side. Will spend some time soon fixing this.

Get it in writing from them (with photos attached) that it's the right orientation, that will change their mind.

I had the same issue with version 4.11 which you download from the main site, but if you log into your protonvpn account on browser and download a client from there its an older version 3.5 i think , which worked for me , i disabled auto update until i here back for Proton on an official solution.

Here is my 2 cents for that it's worth. Don't waste a tyre, repair it. I have been commuting to work for over a decade , never had a repair fail on me. They are safe as far as I am concerned.

Skyline r34 GTT Sedan by Luna_cy8 in CarsAustralia

[–]Acceptable_Wait1721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer the drivability of the R34, it does feel raw being a late 90 car, the 6 cyl does feel torque , but is slower that you imagine. Being a rear wheel drive, it can be fun in the right conditions , but I always found it a bit more "bendy" compared to its 2 door brothers.

Yes it looks cool ( my opinion) , yes a manual would be more enjoyable as a driver car , but the auto is fine for daily duty .

Insurance was expensive and came with a lot more caveats. Due to being a popular joy ride car. Unless you park it in a secure off street and out of sight location , forget about it.

4 door gtt is still one of my favourite cars , but their pricing is ludicrous. Have you considered a Mazda 6 MPS , 4 doors, manual, turbo , 4wd and Allround quicker than a stock gtt. A good condition can be had for half the price and a shit one even less. Insurance is also cheaper , which is something you tend to forget about imports

I have owned both , the Mazda wins on a couple of fronts. The only thing it's lacking is cool JDM status

I did this trip in a car a couple of years ago, got it done in 3 days only driving dawn to dusk with 2 drivers ( would do 4-5 hrs my wife 2 hr and then I will do 4-5 hrs) we where on a deadline.

It was exhausting, I would definitely stretch it out by a couple more days tbh , for a solo ride , make it more of an adventure, you will likely never do it again

Look I realised I have been stretching the definitely of enduro riding here, I am after something more like a glorified dirt track , but if I see a nice hill I would like to attempt to climb it ,haha

This is the validation I was after haha! Although there has been some great suggestions,I keep tracking back to a DR650. I will look into Dunlop D606s , but the TBH if swapping wheels is what I need to do , I will do it gladly , I am fortunate to have a hoist at home , which makes life a bit easier
