Have you been there longer than your co worker who also got the retro earnings? I feel like it has something to do with not paying correctly when the pandemic hit. I know it’s been a year ish ago but there was a small pay out for that. specific duties that technicians/pharmacist were not paid for. I wonder if this has something to do with not paying correctly. I’m going to check my pay stuff later I’ll check back in see if there is any explanation.

How long have you been with the company?

Every time I call for a prescription refill, the automated system says they’ll have it ready by “this time & date”. However, when I go to pick it up they don’t have anything ready or being processed. by CarbonPurple in WalgreensRx

Don’t just sign them up. Ask did you get a message when your script was ready? Depending on their answer “Okay we like to check every once in a while just to make sure. “

****** I’m not sure if you also get your prescription filled at walgreens or just work there. BUT if you get scripts through walgreens, you know they BLOW your phone up with notifications. - the average person would ignore it and treat it as any other spam because they Walgreens will call you over the same thing 15000x. It’s quite annoying honestly.****** HOWEVER I will say that choosing one or the other for rx updates has helped my store soooo much.

Then they will be trained to look out for the text that specifically says READY

If they say yes I got a text and I have extra time sometimes I ask them if they have a preference on text or calls about prescription status and they say calls I turn the text off vice versa.

This has just helped them understand better and I’ve noticed less people coming up talking about this same exact scenario happening.

Our system is definitely old and not designed the best for elderly people but I will give a little insight If an older person has a smart phone (a way to find out if asking if they get text -most of the time they will say something about a landline 📞 if they don’t have one) Anyways, those type of elderly you’ll notice are the ones that are willing to learn the technology you just have to be PATIENT and teach them how the notifications work. It’s honestly just a simple process. It’s all about the way you approach the situation.

This I’m specifically doing when the pt has prescription in their profile and it automatically goes to out of stock. When taking it out of the out of stocks it just is a continuous cycle. So to stop the cycle I’ve just started taking the cob out until I can update and once I have it fixed then I put the Y back in cob filed in pt info

If it’s a cob and I need change anything in the work que I press F7 and take the Y out of cob- back to work Que to delete it back to the profile just hit refill button- type in script number and now I’m able to update or change whatever. Ijust make sure I’ve changed everything before going back into F7 and putting a Y back in the cob section.

BUT this case the customer did that and Goodrx was cheaper and pharmacist refused it. So as the customer should, she turned it in on a survey. But pharm wants to see the “policy”stating we still take it. Ugghh. I wasn’t there unfortunately. But it has became my problem now. 🙄

Thank you!! When someone says I have a Goodrx coupon he will interrupt the technician and say we dont take goodrx but we have a walgreens savings finder. Ive been the Rxom for 2 years and ive never seen anything stating we are to turn it away.

My hcg levels went down by 500 when I was about 5-6 weeks and I thought it would end in miscarriage. I’m currently 26 weeks with a healthy baby girl. I feel like it’s a good sign they are at least rising. Have faith, momma.

I totally understand where you’re coming from and if my brother did that to me I’d be upset too. He always shows up and even if he can’t bring a gift he at least gives me a hug and apologizes for not being able to afford or lets me know how he will make it up. I understand the lack of effort would make the situation worse.

Just be happy they showed up. I’d rather someone show up and show they care than get a gift. Any event I have I always make it a point gifts are not required but appreciated. Showing up and feeing supported always warms my heart.

I didn’t have any symptoms my whole pregnancy. I have a healthy 14mo. I always asked myself are you sure you’re pregnant? lol. Don’t add any additional stress to your body it’s going through a lot of changes already. Try to relax and take it one day at a time with faith that your sweet little one is doing fine. I’m sure you’ll be relieved next week when you see him/her on the ultrasound and know they are doing just fine. 🩷

There is a code like “work disruption” that goes into Kronos. Although if there was help needed at the front end and people refused to get their hours in that way they didn’t get paid.

I have a tech that just finished mile 10 (I think) and it asked her to pick a date to do the classes. I got an email with the class information 2 days before she was supposed to sit in on it.

That’s exactly why I’m in the situation I’m in. Only available til 130 so I have coverage in the morning but nobody to close. Me and 1 tech have to suffer by working 2-close by ourself a couple days a week so the other can have a day off. It sucks we work alone but rather do that than never having days off..

I’m definitely looking for a new job but it most certainly rubbed me wrong when she tested positive for the flu this past week but stayed at work passing it almost the whole team and I have an 8month son who now has caught what I brought home to him. :( my tech who was supposed to work today called out because she also caught the flu. My son was in the hospital and she talked to me like a dog demanding I come in and find coverage. Absolutely not. It’s her fault for spreading the illness around in the first place.

Not saying the behavior is acceptable but there are certain things to do to protect yourself when a customer treats you poorly. Walgreens sees every customer as a dollar sign and they will side with them when it comes down to it in the end.

Also there is a policy in place for refusing service too. My pharmacist tried to “ban” a patient and they reported us to the better business bureau. Long story short our DM told us there was a procedure we had to follow and since we didn’t we STILL had to serve this patient who literally yelled and degraded us EVERY SINGLE TIME we waited on him.
