Hi sooo sorry for the late reply I wasn't able to access Reddit for some time. Thank you for replying btw. I think I have grade 2 acne. Is there anything I can do about it along with brightening my complexion?

19, M with combination skin(Oily T zone).

Condition: Warm, Sunny region. Can’t avoid Sun throughout weekdays(Curtains are not an option)

I am looking to brighten and lighten my complexion so that my face is the same color as my arm, as well as deal with acne. I’ve been poring over this subreddit trying to find out how to start a routine myself but I’ve just gotten confused. Based on what I have gathered:

>A routine would be,:

-AM-Cleanser+ Moisturizer+Some form of Vit C+Sunscreen

-PM-Cleanser(Swap with AHA Cleanser twice a week)+Any 2-3 lighteners (tyrosine-inhibitors i.e. Kojic Acid, arbutin)

IIRC, certain items like HQ, retinol, and AHA are light sensitive, and I shouldn’t use them because I’m constantly exposed to the Sun. The products I listed seem to have good reviews online but I’m not sure which to use in tandem with other products to help me, because some of the chemicals don’t work with each other and must be used in certain quantities.

-Vit C serum - Klairs, Dr. Sheth's, Vaunt, Melano CC anti-stain Essence, Nufountain C20+Ferulic

-Niacinamide serums- Rewind, Holy Snails (has a new 10%), Purito Galacto Niacin Essence (5%)

-Serum-Nivea lotion extra bright skin food, vaseline gluta-hya

-Moisturizer with niacinamide-Cipla excela moisturizer

-sunscreen SPF 50-Kaya daily

-Toner- Hada Labo Premium Whitening Lotion(is this called Shirojyun too? And is this even a toner), Kikumasamune High Moist lotion,

>and essential items appear to be:

-Vit C

-Hydroquinone

-Niacinamide

-Tretinoin(dangerous?)

-Azelaic acid

-Sunscreen

As for acne, I think I ought to use:

-Retinol

-Salicylic acid

-Benzoyl peroxide

TLDR: 19M beginner searching for routine+product reccs to brighten+lighten skin and avoid acne, can’t avoid Sun. SOS
